1. Scope
This policy covers the Restriction Cascade for Confluence app (the "App"), installed on Atlassian Confluence Cloud sites.
2. Where data lives
The App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform ("Runs on Atlassian"). We operate no servers. The App never sends data outside Atlassian's infrastructure, and we cannot access your Confluence content or the App's stored data.
3. What the App stores
The App stores the following in Atlassian Forge hosted storage for your site:
- Settings: whether the App is enabled site-wide and per space, and who may manage cascades.
-
Cascade roots: for each page or folder an administrator marks as a root:
- its id, title and space,
- the chosen mode,
- the Atlassian account ids of the people who created or last changed it.
- Editor fingerprints: for each cascade root, a one-way hash of who can edit it, so the App can notice when that changes. It contains no account ids or names, and is deleted with the root.
- Background job progress: counts and a short sample of affected page titles. Deleted after 14 days.
-
Activity log: for each change the App makes or each setting someone changes:
- the time and the content id and title,
- the Atlassian account id of the person who triggered it,
- the account or group ids whose edit access changed.
The App does not store names, email addresses, page content or attachments. Names shown in the App are fetched live from Confluence and are not kept.
4. Why
We store this data only to provide the App's function: applying edit restrictions down the page tree, and showing administrators what was changed and why.
5. Personal data
Atlassian account ids are personal data.
- As Atlassian's Forge guidelines require, the App reports the account ids it stores to Atlassian every week.
- When Atlassian reports that an account was closed, the App erases that id from its stored data.
6. Retention and deletion
- Activity log entries expire after 90 days. Job records expire after 14 days.
- When the App is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes all of the App's stored data 28 days later.
7. Data residency
Forge hosted storage follows your Confluence site's data residency settings.
8. Sub-processors
Atlassian, as the platform provider. There are no others.
9. Your rights
Contact your Confluence site administrator, or us at support@findigo.in, about access, correction or deletion requests. For data held by Atlassian, see Atlassian's privacy policy.
10. Changes
We will post changes to this page and update the effective date.
